CoRE - Communities of respect & equality

Communities of Respect and Equality (CoRE) Alliance is a partnership of organisations, businesses, clubs and groups who share a vision for safe, equal and respectful communities in the Grampians region.

CoRE | Zonta Club of Ballarat

CoRE Members commit to the CoRE Strategy to Prevent Violence Against Women and their Children. This strategy guides individual organisations and collective work fostering communities of respect, equality and preventing violence against women.

Our Club first joined the CoRE Alliance in 2021, since then we have participated in Intersectionality Training which I believe was very valuable for our members. We participate in CoRE Conversations, which are held online every two months at lunch time, these conversations are recorded and then sent on.

We have completed our CoRE Action Plan by taking part in training, completing our Club Leadership Statement, placing these here on our website along with the CoRE logo and our Acknowledgement of Country.

Zonta’s Mission and Vision

Zonta International is a leading global organisation of individuals working together to build a better world for women and girls.

Zonta International envisions a world in which women's rights are recognised as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential.

In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision-making positions on an equal basis with men.

In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.
