ZONTA was founded at the end of World War I, on the 8th November 1919, in Buffalo, New York, in the United States of America.
'ZONTA' is a Sioux Indian word meaning “Honest and Trustworthy”.
ZONTA INTERNATIONAL is a global organisation of executives and professionals working together empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.
Latest figures show that there are over 30,000 members - both women and men - in 67 countries and geographic areas.
MEMBERSHIP is by invitation. Eligible are those in a decision-making capability willing to support the Objects of Zonta International.
